All background players please come with a button down or zip down shirt so nothing goes over your head.
Short hairstyle should be clean, conditioned and blow dried straight or curled, no wet hair. Hair-color touch up roots if needed.
Medium length hairstyle should be clean conditioned and rolled on hot rollers or sponge rollers. Please make sure her hair is dry. Hair-color touchup on roots if needed.
Curly hair style should be clean, conditioned leaving conditioner, dry hair. Hair-color should be touched up on roots if needed.
Long hair should be clean conditioned and styled with a middle or side part.Hair-color should be touched up on roots if needed.

1985 Mood Board Hair Guidelines
Please avoid modern hairstyles and haircuts, including but not limited to:
• Modern fades and taper fades
• Skin fades
• Braids of any kind (box braids, knotless braids, feed-ins, etc.)
• Locs/dreadlocks
• Modern undercuts
• Contemporary barbering styles and sharp lineups
• Modern textured crop cuts or current trend hairstyles
Hair should reflect styles commonly seen in 1985 and be natural to the period. Attached
are photo references for guidance. We ask that background talent review the references
and select a look that closely aligns with the era.
If talent arrives with modern hairstyles that cannot be adjusted to fit the period,
additional time may be required for modifications, and some looks may not be suitable
for camera. We will have wigs and hair pieces on hand to put on background.
1985 Mood Board Makeup Guidelines
•BG and Extra should come with CAMERA READY Makeup.
• FEMALE: FOUNDATION, MASCARA, EYESHADOW, BLUSH, LIPSTICK AND 80’s colored
MANICURE or natural no color would work.
-Bright blue, purple, turquoise, or hot pink eyeshadow
-Heavy blush placed high on the cheekbones
-Frosted lipstick (pink, coral, mauve)
-Strong brows
-Black eyeliner
-Smudged kohl around the eyes
-Pale foundation
-Occasional blush or contour
-Influences from glam rock and the emerging goth scene
-Frosted pink lipstick
-Electric blue shadow
-Over-plucked brows penciled back in
-Deep tan with bright blush
• MALE: EVERYONE should CLEAN SHAVEN! Unless you have 1980’s mustache or facial
hair. Please grooming before coming to the work.
Male can wear some makeup like foundation or bronzer.
